Tijjani M. Borodo is the founding partner of Tijjani M. Borodo and Associates. He was the pioneer Company Secretary of FBN Holdings Plc (FBNHoldings) who oversaw the process of admitting FBNHoldings to the Premium Board of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He retired from FBNHoldings in October 2017 after a successful career spanning over 29 years with the First Bank Group.
He has considerable Board experience as a Director of First Nominees Nigeria Limited, (June 1993 – August 1995), First Dependants Nigeria Limited (June 1993 – August 1995), First Registrars Nigeria Limited (October 2005 To March 2013), In-Sourcing Nigeria Limited (April 2009 – August 2016), FBN Insurance Brokers Limited (February 2017 – January 2018) and FBNQuest Trustees Nigeria Limited where he was the Board Chairman from July 2017 to 2018.
He is on the Board of the following companies:

- Member of the Board of Trustees
He is the Founder, Secretary & Member of the Board of Trustees of Hajiya Safia Borodo Foundation (HSBF). A Non for Profit Organization set up to take care of the poor, needy, vulnerable and orphans in the society.

From January 2018 – 2019, he was appointed a member of the Technical Committee to review the suspended Financial Reporting Council’s National Codes of Corporate Governance (NCCG). Thus at the end of the assignment the new NCCG 2018 came into force on 15th January, 2019.
In October 2017, he was given a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the legal profession in Nigeria by the Esq Magazine.
He is the Principal Partner of Tijjani M Borodo & Associates. Alhaji Borodo is happily married with four children, and loves swimming, listening to music and travelling.
